Her exhibition draws from natural landscapes, weathered textures and memories of childhood, exploring the connections between land and memory through the use of a range of techniques such as embroidery, layering, eco dyeing, rusting, weathering, painting and waxing.
Margaret invites viewers to pause and reflect on the images and memories that shape their everyday lives. To see evocative resonnances in the works presented to their own lived experiences of our natural and emotional worlds.
The works are intimate and gently detailed. Thoughtful consideration is given to the layering and accretions of significance and meaning.
Margaret will share some of her life experiences that have informed her art practice as well as some of her explorative making techniques she has used in bringing together the works for this exhibition.
