This Is My Medicine – Heidi Monks 13th August – 21st September 2026.
Heidi’s practice is one of outer experimentation led by focused inner exploration. She has chosen to
work with natural fabrics and dyes in a practice that merges craft, art and making. ‘Therefore I am also a maker and a craft worker; the labels shapeshift and matter less than the work I do’.
Pivotal Life experiences ‘speak to the science of interconnectivity, that everything is energy and vibration and that respect and honour of Nature and all forms of life is a sacred practice. That creativity and wellbeing walk hand in hand and nothing stands in isolation.
I am challenged by the intellectual aspect of defining my work, as an enormous part of my practise including this exhibition in particular is to work with the intelligence of my heart. This is deeply personal as I navigate the energy fields surrounding me, expressing the intangible, the ineffable, sharing the beauty I discover being revealed.
The piece Adrift in a Sea of Energy, Antennae Radiating speaks to how I find myself in my life. For this I must trust my internal navigation system, let go of expectation and learn to play’.

Liminal Fibres – Suzan Kostanich 24th September – 9th November 2026.
We are very pleased and excited to be hosting Suzan for a Solo Exhibition. The works in the collection will be exploring what liminal means within the textile field: “being at the threshold or boundary where it is neither fully one thing or another” a space where fibres intersect, are altered but not erased.
Liminal Fibre: An Artistic Statement by Suzan Kostanich
Liminality is derived from the Latin word Limen meaning threshold, it refers to states of transition, the “inbetween”—moments when boundaries blur, identities shift, and new possibilities become reality, this concept of the “in between space” lies at the heart of Fibre Art these thresholds are not only metaphorical but also physical and tactile: the spaces where threads intertwine, where materials fade and reform, where tradition meets innovation.
Using a variety of process and material my work investigates this intersection, employing fibres as active agents in shaping and reshaping form.
Each weave, knot, or stitch embodies the tension of being “in-between”—between the fixed and the fluid, the visible and the hidden, the past and the present. Through layering, unraveling, and recomposing, I invite viewers to examine the process in these liminal spaces, to experience the uncertainty and the energy that produces a transformation.
The Work becomes a question mark to the established hierarchies of craft and fine art. Using fibre as the medium and traditional techniques to create third spaces between material and meaning.
The tactile nature of fibre invites the viewer to engage at an intimate level helping to bridge the space between artist and viewer. This exhibition seeks to challenge the viewer to consider the transformative power of fibre when it is used as a medium for transition and changing identity rather than decorative or utilitarian.
Where it embodies the notion that art like life is always moving towards a state of becoming.
