The gallery is filled with colour, details and textures that are a total feast for the eyes and the creative spirit.
Pravina has selected a cross section of her works chronologically so we can see the paths she has explored as a maker. Her love of fine stitching and layers of details is evident when you stop and look closely at these works. Nothing is wasted, everything is treasured and given an uplifted significance.
We celebrate this respect for and love of things textile and fibre – ranging from repurposing family heirlooms to converting brown paper bags into vessels of special meaning – well done Pravina.

Pravina will be holding an Artist Talk on Sunday 28th September at 2pm – From a cushion to an exhibition – how did that happen?
Please do join us for this chance to hear about one artist’s personal journey of discovery. There will be materials and other works available to handle and discuss with Pravina to round out the details of her talk.
All welcome. Free Event.

Look out for colour, wild textures, deep layering and explorative adventures with widely ranging textile elements in this collection of Pravina’s works. Coming from an initial practice background of highly structured quilt arts, Pravina is now embracing the freedoms of expression offered through textile mediums. We have enjoyed her works before and she has held wonderful workshops for the gallery as well. This solo exhibition time will be a chance for us to enjoy more of Pravina’s creative spirit and her generous sharing spirit.
