This is the exhibition of resident artist Viv Davy, reflecting on her practice over the first year of operation of ‘from out of the blue studio gallery’. The works selected are focusing on their connection with gardens and the natural environment of Opuanake, South Taranaki. This is to celebrate the time of the yer and to acknowledge the amazing Garden Festivals that are happening in Taranaki at the same time as the Arts Festival and the Taranaki Art Trail.
Natural fibres, colours derived from homegrown plants, works reflecting on the wonder of the natural world have been bought together for this special collection.
Viv Davy practices slow making with natural fibres and traditional hand processes. The works she creates are timeless and unique.
There will be working looms available for the public to view and learn about over the time of the Taranaki Arts Trail.
Notice the extra hours of opening
