This workshop is part of the Natural Material Series being offered as a collaboration between Tanya Doty of Heartstone Baskets and ‘from out of the blue studio gallery’ over the season of The Sustainable Backyard Trail and The Taranaki Arts Trail 2023.

Make an arty basket that can sit on the table or be put to use.

These baskets are functional and sculptural and once you get the hang of this technique you’ll be able to make baskets from practically any kind of bendy material.

You’ll learn how to attach the handle and all about adding ribs, where and when. We’ll use all sorts of foraged fibres and some willow.

All tools and materials supplied

50% of the full fee is required to hold your space, or full payment can be made up front.
Full payment is required to be paid one week before the class date.
If you’re unable to make it to the class and I can find a replacement no cancellation fee will be charged. However, if you cancel and a replacement can’t be found 50% cancellation fee applies.
