This workshop is part of the Natural Material Series being offered as a collaboration between Tanya Doty of Heartstone Baskets and ‘from out of the blue studio gallery’ over the season of The Sustainable Backyard Trail and The Taranaki Arts Trail 2023.
DESCRIPTION:
Take this one to the market, on a picnic and then to the workplace with lunch and a laptop and when everyone admires it (as they will) you can tell them you made it yourself.
This is a two-day workshop.
The basket is made on a recycled wooden base and we’ll use several traditional basket making techniques. Made from rattan cane and retro plastic covered cane, these kiwi classics are one of the most versatile baskets I’ve ever owned.
While no previous experience is needed it does help to be a hands on or crafty type.All tools and materials supplied$320.00 6 people max
PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION
50% of the full fee is required to hold your space, or full payment can be made up front.
Full payment is required to be paid one week before the class date.
If you’re unable to make it to the class and I can find a replacement no cancellation fee will be charged.However, if you cancel and a replacement can’t be found 50% cancellation fee applies.
