Description
We are always fascinated by the hovering, flitting passage of the fantails or pīwakawaka. Although they hatch several lots of eggs across the year the pīwakawaka are totally under threat from nest raiders – the cats, stoats, possums, rats and hedgehogs. This drawing is part of a larger collection of woven and drawn works highlighting our endangered and extinct species and their threats. Part of Extinction is Forever.
