Exploring Foraged Materials

TIME: 9.30am – 3pm. Shared Lunch. Tea and Coffee supplied.

This workshop is part of the Natural Material Series being offered as a collaboration between Tanya Doty of Heartstone Baskets and ‘from out of the blue studio gallery’ over the season of The Sustainable Backyard Trail and The Taranaki Arts Trail 2023.


A one day workshop that will give you the foundation to go and weave your heart out wherever you wander. We’ll make a hanging basket that will incorporate materials you’ll be able to find in your garden or beyond.  We’ll explore twining techniques and cordage come out with a unique rustic basket. No specialist tools or materials required, all you need is the know-how and a pair of secateurs and you’re away and laughing.

All tools and materials supplied

50% of the full fee is required to hold your space, or full payment can be made up front.
Full payment is required to be paid one week before the class date.
If you’re unable to make it to the class and I can find a replacement no cancellation fee will be charged.However, if you cancel and a replacement can’t be found 50% cancellation fee applies.
